The spectacle of knowledge, Horizons – A 21St Century Space Odyssey, presented by the famous science teacher Brian Cox and first announced for Romania on April 3, 2024, is very well received by Romanians. tournament Horizons is a unique trip through the history of the Universe and the laws of physics, among distant galaxies, black holes and alien worlds, in a show accessible to the general public. In the show, Brian Cox will answer questions at the confluence of science and philosophy: what is the nature of space and time, how did life on Earth appear and what is its significance on a cosmic scale, how can we relate to the infinity of the Universe from the perspective of a life with inevitable boundaries.
Professor Brian Cox he is appreciated worldwide for the contagious passion with which he has been able to explain scientific ideas and phenomena in a way that everyone can understand for decades. He has been doing it for over 20 years, both from the chair of the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Manchester and through the many science programs broadcast by the BBC, starting with his appearances in the documentary series Horizon and continuing with the famous shows of which he was the presenter, including the series Wonders (Wonders of the Solar System, Wonders of the Universe, Wonders of Life), Forces of Nature, The Planets, Brian Cox's Adventures in Space and Time, Brian Cox: Seven Days on Mars.
Brian Cox's tours have repeatedly entered the Book of Records, and the more than 200,000 tickets sold for the previous tour, "Universal - Adventures in Space and Time", secured the British professor a place in the Guinness World Record for the third time for the sales performance of a science tour.
The event in Bucharest is scheduled for 8:30 p.m., and public access will begin at 7:30 p.m., andthe event will be held exclusively in English.
