The need for public voices of science experts is not as new as we think. In 1909, journalist Nicolae Grigore Mih\u0103escu (NIGRIM<\/a>), published an essay arguing how necessary it is to involve reputable scientists to counter what he calls \"science quacks\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Against the destructive river of the charlatans of science the enormous pier must be raised by the true and honest representatives of Science themselves.<\/p>
